Color, used with conviction, can do what renovation usually does. In this East Cobb living room, arched niches in deep green — custom millwork of our design with a mirror hung to suit them — give the space a permanence no furniture alone could supply. Against that ground sits a trio of crystal palm chandeliers, a cream bouclé sofa, gold coffee tables, layered rugs and the glow of a stone fireplace.
Every room, one instruction. The work ran through the home's main rooms — foyer, living, dining, kitchen, family room, home office and powder room — under a single direction worth honoring: polished enough to host, easy enough to live in.
Through the house. It begins in the foyer, where a cascade of gem-cut pendants falls from a medallion in the coffered ceiling — the first hint of the glamour waiting in the living room. The kitchen and dining room take the palette at conversational volume, furnished and lit so the rooms the family uses most belong unmistakably to the same home. The family room relaxes the posture further without lowering the standard — deep seating, soft light, nothing precious.
The pleasure of the place is its calibration: a home that flatters a dinner party on Saturday and asks nothing of a Tuesday night.
