There is a reason the English club has survived every fashion: a room can be grand and intimate at once. Finn & Fox, a lounge in Sugar Hill designed by Ashley Schneider, was built on that idea — a place with the ease of a private club, where a guest sinks into a wing chair and loses track of the hour.
The room. A walnut-backed white sofa and a leather wing chair sit before a dark shiplap fireplace, with chinoiserie artwork in gold above. The pieces don't match so much as belong together, which is the harder thing to pull off and the whole point of the room.
One accent throughout. The character carries past this corner and through the lounge. The identity came from the same hand as the interiors — from the brand and signage to the last piece of furniture, there isn't an element Ashley didn't touch, and it is why the whole room speaks with one voice. Unmistakably British, and never stiff about it.
